The military counterintelligence of the SBU and the Ukrainian Navy conducted a unique special operation near Yevpatoria at night, destroying the Russian Triumph air defense system worth $1.2 billion.
According to the interlocutors, drones and Neptune missiles worked effectively on the target.
“First, the SBU drones hit the “eyes” of the complex – radars and antennas. And after the radar stations were disabled, the naval units used two Neptune cruise missiles to hit the S300/400 Triumph launch complexes,” the source said.
Let us recall that the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that on the night of September 14, five unmanned boats attacked the Black Sea Fleet patrol ship Sergei Kotov. All of them were allegedly destroyed by fire from the ship’s standard weapons.
Later, the Russian military department announced “an attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack targets with aerial drones” in the territory of occupied Crimea. The department assured that eleven UAVs were destroyed by air defense systems on duty. However, local telegram channels wrote that one of the drones hit an “air defense installation.”
