Russian companies have declared their readiness to purchase a range of consumer goods from Tajikistan, including agricultural products. Sputnik Tajikistan reports this.
We are talking about the purchase of chicken meat, eggs, dried fruits, jewelry, fruits and vegetables, water and drinks, and investments in the economy of the Sughd region.
This issue was discussed during the working visit of the head of the Sughd region of Tajikistan, Rajabboy Ahmadzoda, to St. Petersburg, where he met with entrepreneurs and representatives of the city’s business community.
Trade turnover between Russia and Tajikistan for 9 months of 2023 exceeded 90 billion rubles. The total volume of Russian investments in the republic’s economy amounted to 148 billion rubles.
More than 70 regions of Russia have direct business ties with regions of Tajikistan. The leaders are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Altai, Astrakhan, Nizhny Novgorod and Novosibirsk.
