On the night of December 7, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 15 of 18 attack drones launched by Russian troops.

“On the night of December 7, 2023, the invaders attacked Ukraine with “Shahed” type drones from Cape Chauda (Crimea). In total, launches of 18 “Shahed-136/131” attack UAVs were recorded.

The main directions of attack are Khmelnitsky and Odessa regions.

As a result of the anti-aircraft battle by the forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with the air defense of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, 15 enemy attack UAVs were destroyed. Anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups were involved.”

The defense forces of southern Ukraine reported that there were several waves of enemy strike drone attacks on the southern regions overnight.

Having sent UAVs of the “Shahed-131/136” type from the temporarily occupied Crimea through the left bank of the Kherson region, the occupiers tried to bypass the air defense systems, but in the Nikolaev region 3 kamikaze drones were destroyed.

The next wave of the Russian army attacked the Odessa region. The Russians sent drones along the port infrastructure of the Danube region, again taking advantage of the landscape features and the proximity of the state border.

The air defense forces destroyed 11 Shahed-131/136 UAVs, but the port infrastructure was hit .

As a result of the impact, warehouses, an elevator, and trucks were damaged, there was a fire, and one of the car drivers died.

In addition, air defense forces were operating in the Khmelnitsky region , and there were no reports of casualties or damage to infrastructure.
